Admissions and Registration Steps
STEP 1: APPLY TO RRCC
GENERAL STUDENT ADMISSION
- Complete the online Application for Admission. You can also print and mail the application.
- Pay the $20 application fee No application fee required through spring, 2014!
- Submit official high school transcripts with date of graduation; or a copy of your GED test scores.
- If you attended another college, have your college send your official college transcript.
- If you graduated from a non-English speaking school, you must submit proof of English proficiency. RRCC Requires a score of 61 on the internet based TOEFL examination. RRCC’s TOEFL code is 6613.
- Submit your Immunization Record.
CANADIAN / INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ADMISSION
- Canadian Students: Must print and mail the application.
- Pay the $20 application fee No application fee required through spring, 2014!
- Submit official high school transcripts with date of graduation.
- If you attended another college, have your college send your official college transcript.
- Submit your Immunization Record.
- Provide a letter stating you have sufficient funds to cover all costs for an entire academic year.
- Submit the $50 Sevis I-20 processing/mailing fee (if application deadline of August 1 for fall semester, and December 1 for spring semester has not been met).
ALL OTHER INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
- Must print and mail the application.
- Pay the $20 application fee No application fee required through spring, 2014!!
- Complete and submit the International Student Application.
- Submit certified high school and postsecondary (if applicable) transcripts – translated into English.
- Submit your Immunization Record.
- Provide proof of adequate international health insurance.
- Provide proof of sufficient funds to cover all costs for an entire academic year.
- If you are from a non-English speaking country, or graduated from a non-English speaking school, you must submit proof of English proficiency. RRCC requires a score of 61 on the internet based TOEFL examination. RRCC’s TOEFL code is 6613.

STEP 2: ACTIVATE YOUR StarID
Your StarID is a username used across the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities to access information technology systems and services. At RRCC your StarID is required to: login to the network, access your email, access your e-Services account, access your online classes (D2L), and print.
To activate your StarID you will need your Tech ID. Click here to begin.
STEP 3: PLACEMENT TESTING
After you have applied and been accepted to RRCC, sign-up to take the Accuplacer Computerized Placement Test (determines the level of courses you are prepared to enroll in). Click here to continue.
STEP 4: REGISTRATION
Our professional advisors are here to help you make the best decisions and ensure you are on-track to meet your academic goals. After you have completed the placement test, you can: register for classes online through your e-Services account, or make an appointment to register (in person or via telephone) by calling 218.285.7722 / 800.456.3996. For TTY use MN Relay 711.
Before your appointment, preview the semester class schedule to note the classes you are interested in taking.
STEP 5: E-SERVICES
Every student has an e-Services account, providing you access to your courses and registration, grades and transcripts, financial information, and more. Log in using your RRCC StarID.
