Star Alert is an emergency notification text messaging system used by Rainy River Community College. It will be used only for emergencies. If the RRCC campus is experiencing a crisis situation it will be communicated via the Star Alert system. The system uses text and email messaging to notify you of campus-related emergencies.
Star Alert is an "opt-in" system and you must register in order to receive emergency alerts. RRCC students, faculty and staff are asked to register their cell phone numbers and email addresses by using the links above. In the event of an emergency, a text message will be sent to the cell number and/or email address that you provide when you register for the Star Alert service.
Star Alert is a free notification service provided by Rainy River Community College. However, your phone and email service providers may apply a normal message fee. Please check with your cell phone/email provider to determine if you will be charged for our messages. To receive text messages your cell phone must have text messaging capabilities.
Star Alert emergency notifications are dependent upon external providers and Rainy River Community College cannot guarantee notifications will be received by the intended recipient.
